Die Arbeit besteht aus elf kurzen Meldungen, welche jede den Tod eines Künstlers, durch oder wegen seiner Kunst verkünden. Diese wahren Begebenheiten, welche in Zeitungen, Blogs und Archiven recherchiert wurden, werden in einem nüchternen, zwischen Erzähler- und Nachrichtenstimme pendelnden Ton gesprochen, während ein Schwarzbild zu sehen ist. Personen wurden anonymisiert und eine zeitliche Einordnung ist nur über die, an alte Aufnahmen erinnernde Ton- und Bildbearbeitung möglich. Dies erlaubt dem Betrachter, die Meldungen deutlicher als „Nachrichten“ wahrzunehmen und verleiht der Arbeit einen dokumentarischen Charakter. Die Arbeit wird auf dem österreichischen Kultursender Okto.tv Anfang 2011 ausgestrahlt.

The piece of work consists of eleven short messages which each announce the death of an artist, caused by or because of their art. These true incidents, which were discovered through research in newspapers, blogs and archives, are being told in a clinical voice that oscillates between the voice of a narrator and a news reporter while a black screen can be seen. People were made anonymous and a time classification is only possible through the image and sound editing that reminds one of old recordings. This allows the observer to perceive the messages more clearly as “news” and lends the piece of work a documentary character. The piece of work will be broadcasted on the Austrian arts tv canal Okto.tv at the beginning of 2011.
